Nicholas de Mimsy-Porpington is a 29-year-old History of Magic professor for Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
Character Description and Personality: Nick, as he's often called, is tall with a mop of wavy hair on his head. In his younger years his friends talked him into piercing both his ears because they said he would look cool. He now regrets this decision, except for the times when he gets drunk. Wearing girls earrings are always more fun when inebriated. He's a fancy dresser, always concerned with fashion and appearance, and opts to cover up his neck when he cans. He has a deep scar from an accident in his youth running from left to right.
Nick loves history of magic. He loves his students (especially the Gryffindor students seeing as that was his house during school) and finds them incredibly amusing. He strives to be as helpful as possibly, but is not above punishing those who need it. He's a very quiet person when he wants to be, and though he'll smile and say hello to those he meets in the corridors, he enjoys his own private study time.
Other information:
Nick was born to an extremely Muggle, upper middle-class family. At one time his family came from some wealth but now rely upon blue collar jobs to sustain them. His mother and father were terrified to hear that Nick was some sort of magical weirdo, but soon grew to dismiss their fear as their son proved to be handy around the house.
After leaving Hogwarts he went off and had himself little adventures around the world, until he decided to get his teaching license and settle back into Hogwarts. He currently is enjoying the quiet, boring life professional teaching brings.
